DJ Fate is a member and resident dj of SideTrack, a group who promoted electronic events at Therapy Nightclub and Lounge (Indianapolis) on Thursdays in most of 2007. SideTrack brought in over fifty local and up-and-coming djs. DJ Fate’s previous residencies include: Club Eden (Indianapolis) and Ice Ultra Lounge (Indianapolis)

Another group that includes DJ Fate is The Goddess Complex, a collective committed to promoting female artists for talent as opposed to novelty, and giving support to the talented sisters out there.

Big Car Art Gallery Opening + Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund Benefit

Taylor Norris and myself will be punching out the minimal beats this Friday @ Big Car Gallery in Fountain Square, Indianapolis. The opening is titled “Negative Into Positive: The Art of Antonio Adams” and will also feature live bands Pravada, Grampall Jookabox and New York based Castanets.

Taylor and I will spin from 6-9:30pm, followed by the bands until midnight.

THEN, all day Saturday Therapy Nightclub & Lounge is hosting a benefit for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The fest is indoors and outdoors, with loads of DJs and live bands. Plus I hear they’ll probably have BBQ and a corn hole tournament.

To celebrate the new year, sideTrack will start it off right with an all minimal night, featuring Seth Nichols, one of Indy’s finest DJs and electronic music experts (he does run a nicely sized record store called Love Vinyl Records, after all), plus Neal Blue will perform a live pa on the Roland 505 and 808. I’ll be tagging records to open and close the night with Taylor Norris.
